Venambak x WWF: Advancing Sustainable Aquaculture Innovation in Pati

Venambak is proud to be part of the AgResults Indonesia Aquaculture Challenge Pilot Project organized by WWF-Indonesia in Pati Regency, Central Java. This initiative marks a concrete step in strengthening the sustainability and long-term impact of the AgResults program, which over the past five years has promoted the adoption of aquaculture technologies among small-scale farmers in Indonesia.

From Competition to Collaboration

AgResults Indonesia is a global initiative under a Pay-for-Results scheme that encourages the private sector to introduce innovative aquaculture technologies such as aerators and auto-feeders along with technical assistance programs for smallholder farmers. The year 2025 marks the final phase of this five-year project, involving 11 participating companies, including PT Venambak Kail Dipantara, which takes part in the Technology and Farmer Support category.

Venambak’s participation reflects our commitment to advancing silvofishery and climate-smart aquaculture solutions that are adaptive to climate change while strengthening the economic resilience of small-scale aquaculture communities through accessible, field-ready technologies that empower small-scale farmers on the ground.

Technology for Smarter Productivity

In this pilot project, Venambak introduces two flagship innovations — VenJet and Feeder Venambak — designed to tackle energy efficiency and feed management challenges in smallholder ponds.

VENJET, an energy-efficient aerator based on air–power optimization systems, helps maintain stable dissolved oxygen levels without excessive electricity consumption. This innovation has proven effective in improving water quality and accelerating aquaculture growth.

FEEDERVE, a precision auto-feeder, enables farmers to optimize Feed Conversion Ratios (FCR) and reduce waste while saving time and daily operational costs.

Supporting these systems is BoxVenambak (BOXVE) — a smart control hub that connects both the Feeder and VenJet. BOXVE allows online control via an Android app, offering features such as manual and automatic duration settings, real-time feed and energy monitoring, and data recording.

For remote areas without reliable internet access, BOXVE also includes offline and manual timer modes — a feature highly appreciated by farmers during field trials.

The combination of VENJET, FEEDERVE, and BOXVE demonstrates that Venambak’s innovation goes beyond production efficiency — it empowers smallholders through independence, adaptability, and sustainability.

Toward Resilient and Sustainable Aquaculture

Venambak’s involvement in this pilot project is not only about technology adoption but also about transforming Indonesia’s aquaculture ecosystem into one that is more resilient to climate and market challenges.

“Through FEEDERVE and VENJET technologies, we aim to encourage fish farmers to shift toward smarter, more efficient, and environmentally friendly aquaculture practices.”
